Well honestly, the Church of Seiros, aka the Church of Rhea (since Seiros is the name she had taken when she fought Nemesis for revenge) changing Fodlan's history on purpose for thousands of years doesn't help matters.

She covered up critical moments of history and then spearheaded a religion/church that basically has an extreme influence over Fodlan as a whole. Rhea gained so much power and influence for years, I still wonder how she did this.

Nobody will know the true history, except for players who played two or three routes.

Just played GD, Sothis is never mentioned to be murdered. Just that Nemesis took her remainns.

Rheas entire goal is to ressurect(a word that clearly implies bringing dead stuff back to life) her mother

Just what do you think happened in the tomb TC? what did Nemesis ask nicely for the materials to make the sword or something

What's there to wander about? She used her faith magic to convince everyone that she was performing miracles in Enbarr(people were probably a little bit above caveman at that point so it wasn't hard), then she used the first emperor and created the empire and then she used that as a foothold to spread the word throughout the entire continent, she then build the monastery and became the head of the church, after that she continiously kept faking her death throughout the history and kept taking the mantle of the archbishop under a different alliases or at the very least controlling every new archbishop behind the scenes

Rhea is still Rhea. She never died and reincarnated or anything, so the last part wouldn't make sense. But the first part would make since, she would build her popularity though the masses. But she did get into cloning, hmm...

Rhea is a demon and she makes her followers worship a dead god that is no longer around but the people are tricked into thinking she's still alive

What part of "faking" her death didn't you understand, I never said she actually died, but she did make people think she had died so that they won't suspect that their prophet is an immortal dragon person. No one knows about the clonings not even Seteth so there's nothing for her to be questioned over by anyone

The people of old who abused her power probably killed her with help of the Agarthans.

I re-watched Rhea's explanation of Nemesis recently...and frankly there's no direct mention about how Sothis died. It's kind of hard to imagine Nemesis being able to just assassinate her so easily.

But, according to Rhea....Sothis got "weakened" when she tried to restore the Earth after it had been torn apart by all the conflicts caused by the mole people (anti-god community). She had to fall asleep to regenerate and then somehow Nemesis, a bandit, got past all security and stabbed her, drank her blood and made a weapon out of her bones. Don't know what the people of Zanado were doing while their god was being turned into sushi, but OK Rhea.
That's the Golden Dear for ya!
