Yes, and one of those so called "sins", involves killing children who tried to kill him. Dimitri is being a bleeding heart as usual, so that's nothing new.

We don't know they tried to kill him. I already debunked that claim earlier in the topic.

Whatever we know or not makes no difference, since that's Dimitri's MO. He has no reason to act differently from what we were shown. He only killed people who were on Edelgard's side or tried to kill him out of revenge. They deserved to die, not to be tortured, that's for sure, but that's easy enough to redeem for.

Big yikes
might want to brush up on modern laws. They deserve to be detained and released after the war.

it's easy to redeem if your nation still has value and/or a ridiculously large army after the war

Every soldier in a war deserve to die no matter what age. Law means nothing in a battlefield. Theres no law. Pure and simple. Its hell itself. Either you kill or be killed. Believing such thing as law in a war and war crimes is a height of naivete. Its only a thing the winner of a war used to further shake up the loser.

I agree there's no law in the battlefield, but justice and morals exist even in war. If the wrong side wins, then evil will prevail. If children are on the side of evil, they deserve to die all the same.

Stop making Dimitri hate post, you make Edelgard fans look bad since I' m her fans as well as Dimitri. Dimitri insanity is caused by his attachment toward El. He loved her, the fact that she associated with the murderer of his family trigger his insanity. He is a kid who have a mental illness that need help, this is why in BL route he was saved because he had Byleth. Both El and Dimitri will die if there is no Byleth to guide them.
Wonder Woman is the heroine we need.

Torture is still a Tactic modern governments still use to this day. Plus death penalty is still active in many countries/states.

Against POWs? Yeah they still happen now and then. And they’re called war crimes :)

Yeah which is why it's even worse nowadays. People acknowledge it's wrong yet still allow it to happen.
Stay on topic.

No worries, I just hate how people fits Dimitri and Edelgard against each other, they are completely ignore the fact that both of them wishing to have a different closure where they didn't have to kill each other. Like none of them enjoy killing each other.. even when Dimitri kept saying that he wants to kill Edelgard but it's revealed in BL ending that he wants to give her a second chance. It speaks volume of what actually both of them wish for.

After researching what is being a sociopath, @Ein is right about Dimitri being a sociopath:

According to healthline.com:

There’s no clinical difference between a sociopath and a psychopath. These terms are both used to refer to people with ASPD. They’re often used interchangeably

People with ASPD may also use “mind games” to control friends, family members, co-workers, and even strangers. They may also be perceived as charismatic or charming.

The symptoms that applies to Dimitri are:

-Uses others
-Doesn’t make any long-term plans.
-Shows aggressive or aggravated behavior.
-Doesn’t consider their own safety
-Doesn't follow up on personal or professional responsibilities.

Hurray!!!! Except Edelgard is also a Sociopath:

-Doesn’t respect social norms or laws.
-Lies, deceives others, uses false identities or nicknames, and uses others for personal gain.
-Doesn’t make any long-term plans.
-Shows aggressive or aggravated behavior. (Starts an unnecessary war)
-Doesn't follow up on personal or professional responsibilities. (More on personal)
-Doesn’t feel guilt or remorse (arguable, but she seems to be less remorseful than Dimitri)

Uh... El very clearly makes long term plans. And no matter how you slice it, the war was necessary for Fodlan to change. Really, most of the “points” you mentioned against El are reaching at best and flat out wrong at worst.

No, it wasn't necessary. Hanneman is proof of that, and no matter how necessary it is, it never justifies her actions. Necessary or not, she needs to pay for her sins.

Genuine question: do you think revolutionaries are "evil"? After all, they start wars, and according to you anyone who starts a war is objectively evil, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Depends. Did they throw the first stone? Or was the governement? If they threw the first stone, then yes, they are. One can only start a revolution if the government itself is evil. Edelgard starts a war that nobody asked for.

Disregarding TC's Dimitri hate boner, I'm very disappointed by the lack of facial hair in post time skip designs.

Dimitri and Raphael should absolutely have beards, and I could see Sylvain keeping a nice stubble going. And f*** it, give Ferdinand and Lorenz some magnificent moustaches befitting a noble.

This, this, this!

Characters should have facial hair! And not just the super old characters, either.

Also, not just facial hair, but scars and other stuff. It's why I appreciate Dedue's post time skip design a lot, because scars are f***ing rad.

No more perfect porcelain skin, dammit!
