That would go complete against every known rule. Where exactly would you even GET Ferdinand from to get involved in it. This isn't White Clouds where all the students hang around the monastery. Only your recruited students are with you and if not recruited he will be an enemy in Chapter 16. How would that even work? Unless you can show me concrete proof, I can't really accept that one.

Well I already pass month 3 and my latest save is at late month 1. Maybe I remember it wrong. I didn't get to recruit Ferdinand however despite got him to B (still being locked somehow) in school period.

It's logical just not possible. It would require both characters to be physical present. Ferdinand is on the Empire's side if you don't recruit him. It's not like he comes riding in just to do the Paralogue with Lysithea and afterwards goes back to being enemies... Maybe you confused it with Marianne's Paralogue?

It's either turn 10 or when you engage those mentioned enemies (along with the equivalent enemies near the stairs by the left side of the map.)


This doesn't seem to have a real hard-wired trigger. I tested this out in various forms. Caspar going left, no reinforcements. Going right, defeating the enemies there, nothing either. I flew Hilda across the map. First time I flew straight over north in the path of the advancing ones to the right which triggered the reinforcements at the end of the turn... Going left did nothing, going northeast towards neither... Then I went north again and nothing happened either. It doesn't seem very consistent or I just don't understand the trigger.

Alright further testing... And it seems having a unit other than Caspar/Mercedes in the vicinity of the Death Knight triggers it. The key is the unit has to be beyond the cliffs and inside the borders of the pillar to the right and the tree to the left. Being just right or left of them won't trigger the reinforcements which can be useful to sending a flying reinforcement there to help take care of the enemies coming up if you take too long.

Yep, tested it further by having Hilda skirt around the box. I was able to clear out every single enemy up there without once triggering the reinforcement. This is actually pretty good information for strategy. I mean, maybe the triggers are different for Maddening?

Not much to say about Eternal Guardian... Other than making a fantastic source of Mythril should you still need some at this point. Each of the golem gives a fixed 5 Mythril from what I can tell. That's 20 in total. So two Regalia or whatever else you may need it for.

Bad thing is the dumbass in the back moving up so I have to kill them before the golem. Still have 3 golems left when that map end.

Hmm, so you can actually BLOCK the reinforcements in Legend of the Lake. Just put a unit on the tile they spawn from. At least this works for the upper left and right Warriors. Otherwise they'd spawn every three turns I think. The mounted units below are currently stuck on Lorentz three apiece while he's mastering Bow Knight (don't ask, I'm just grinding out my journal at this point with as much as I can). So either a fourth is stuck on the tile and won't move (because he can't get around to the other side) and is as such blocking or there is a limit to how many endless spawns of the same type can be on the field.

I'm almost positive this was stated in dialog during the battle. Because I had a couple units solely for that purpose. It takes a while to do but once you block those tiles that map is pretty easy.
