Yep. Used to rent this a lot back then.

Lots of nostalgia with this one. This game was just so full of charm. Even though, on a technical level, Um Jamme Lammy was the better game.

It was pretty difficult though. I think it actually took me a few rentals to beat it.

Never played and not really interested in ever doing so.

Didn't like rap as a kid/teen and thought it looked kinda corny, so never played it. I will though.

Played only very briefly at a friend's house to try it out.

I've not only beaten this, I've gotten "COOL" on all 6 stages.

This is actually one of my favourite PS1 games. Despite being short, it's always hilarious to play. There aren't many games where the comedy arises from the gameplay rather than the narrative, but this is one of them. A great party game too.

Never played it, and it doesn't seem to appeal to me that much but I do love rhythm games. I'm sure if I stumbled across it I would end up purchasing it just to try it out
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Rented this and UmJammer Lammy a bunch of times back in the day. Love both and beat both. Great games.

I once took a standardized test that said I had a sense of rhythm in the 99th percentile. Yet I could not finish the last stage of this game :P

Played it some. I believe "Cool" came from semi-random button mashing. Once you hit Cool, the level ends immediately.

This is not accurate. You can only get "Cool" on a second play through after you beat the game. Once you get "Cool" I believe the level environment changes a bit, but the level does not immediately end.

The second play through and being able to get "Cool" makes the game considerably easier since it separates you further from rapping "Bad". On a first run play through, even if you are perfect all level you can lose with two back to back mistakes at the end.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that was false. To answer the poll: played it and beaten it.
