Topic. Are they just there for more gold income or do they have any other uses later for crafting or such?

Selling them is the only use they have.

Yup. The game makes it damn clear. The icon for them is even of a bag of money.

I assumed so, given the icon and the description, but I wasn't sure if some of the higher-rarity ones would be worth special things later. Especially something like Dragon Disc that doesn't even list that it's supposed to be used to sell in the description.

well I have a bunch of one's like that but they are under crafting matts
things like the methods of the sima, the wuzi and a bunch of others are they matts or just to sell.

Wondering the same thing. Haven't seen use for them, but they are in fact listed as Written Materials.
Today is a good day to wear pants.
