I have a 19" Insignia 720p HDTV and can't seem to find the right settings to get NeoGeo virtual console games to display properly, or at all.

When I set my Wii to 480i (widescreen), I get a squished image on the top half of the screen, and green bars on the bottom half.

When I set my Wii to 480p (widescreen) I get no image at all.

Is the problem with my TV or is this native to NeoGeo virtual console games?

I had similar problems with my Neo Geo games during my Christmas break. I was able to get them to work after digging up my old av cables. I'm not sure what it is about the Neo Geo games, but component cables don't seem to be friendly to those games.

I posted this question on the main board as well.

They said to attach the nunchuck, go into the operations guide and press A+2+Z to get it to work.

A+1+Z to go back to the previous settings.

nice. I'll follow this guide too. I'm getting one HDTV around late Febuary/early March. This should come in handy.

Go to as many thrift stores as frequently as you can until discovering a Sony or other high quality CRT with at least S-video input. Buy cheap S-video cables online. Hook up Wii and play VC games. Problem solved.
