Yes.

Note that on rare occasions, there are games where different releases of a game don't support saves from each other. But in those cases physical/digital aren't any different.

For example, the Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't save-compatible with the regular version. But the digital and physical versions of the same edition of the game will be save-compatible with each other.

Digital is FAR more expensive
