^ That sounds reasonable. I'd like to see closer to 30 TDs. Also would expect him to lead the team to a top 10 rank in offensive yards and points. And have the team be at least in playoff contention as late as week 16. And of course be healthy all year and start all 16 games.

Anything less than that will be a disappointment and not what you would expect from a $27 million a year cap hit QB.

If he only is a decent QB with the usual, "He needs more weapons" excuses, then you can get that from QBs not taking up $27 million of your cap space every year.

Last season, with 3 games of Jimmy G, 5 games if Beathard, and 8 games of Mullens, we got:

13th in rushing yards
15th in passing yards
16th in total yards

If we get a healthy Garoppolo for the full season, I absolutely expect a top ten offense. Otherwise, what is he bringing to the table?

Shanny is a great coordinator. He got a Beathard/Mullens led offense to be better than half the teams in the league. Shanny with a legit QB is something special. If Jimmy G can't lead is to a top ten offense then hes not worth the money.

not really sure who's going to get us those TDs though...but speaking of appears our 2nd round pick is set...

Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller—fellow San Francisco 49er fan—has a podcast called Stick to Football. In the latest episode, Miller said that the Niners are interested in two receivers if they are available in the second round. Here’s what Miller had to say:

“I will say, man, sometimes I don’t tell you guys everything I hear because I’ve got to keep some stuff back to myself,” Miller said during the most-recent Stick to Football podcast. “I’ve heard if N’Keal Harry’s gone, Deebo’s their guy at 36.”

and our 1st round pick knows when to shut his mouth and proves he has a brain...

I asked Nick the same question reporters always ask Cheryl: How are the brothers different? Joey is more competitive, Nick reluctantly admits, and has interests outside of football. (He'll make his acting debut with a small role in the final season of Game of Thrones on HBO this spring.) Nick loves football more, he says-"I was full-on into it from the time I was 7. Joey, not as much." He's also more politically minded. Last year he seemed to delight in posting political takes, including his support for President Trump, on Twitter and needling dissenters. (He also caused a minor social media stir by criticizing Beyonce, Black Panther and Colin Kaepernick, all eventually deleted.) As the combine drew near, though, his online behavior grew increasingly bland. I asked why he seemed to abandon something he had previously embraced.

"I had to," he says. "There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."

that's a decent article overall but far too long to share the whole thing here

Kittle, the running backs, Pettis and whoever they draft plus the stragglers should be able to combine for 25-30 TDs I would hope. I don't think we are completely devoid of receiving weapons. If it turns out we are, then what have Lynch/Shanny been doing?

I don't give a s*** who he votes for as long as he shows his teammates respect and sacks the quarterback

This exactly. His opinion is of anything is irrelevant to me as a football fan. Smash men, take balls.
