Burger kids and teriyaki chicken samurai team up for teriyaki burgers, and princess parfait invites a demon lord to some parfait. Demon lord is ashamed of her small... horns, wings and tail.
No new words this week, next week: quiche with a new customer (I think) and coffee float, featuring the prince of the Land of Sand

I'm not sure I got the hierarchy. She's a "maou", literally demon king. But there's an emperor if I'm not mistaken? Is it normal to have "kings" under an emperor? However she seems to be a literal lord so the english title fits better?

Whatever

Yes, kings swore alleigance to emperors when they became their vassals. Take the Song of Roland as an example: Marsil was the king of the Spanish Saracens, but he swore allegiance to Baligant, the emir of Babylon. Put it another way, a king rules over several nobles like barons, counts, marquises (which are counts who rule over marks, or border lands) and dukes, and an emperor rules over several kings that are his vassals though treaty or conquest.
In this case, the Demon Lord swore allegiance to the human emperor. My guess is that the title of Demon Lord (notice it was not king in this translation) refers to the ruler of the demon race, and she became a vassal to the human emperor. She was still in charge of ruling the demon folk but she would be under obligation to pay taxes (as the princess stated) and provide troops to the emperor should he need to go to war (one of the typical obligations of a vassal).
Also, this show has a different interpretation of kings than Ranking of Kings, where kings are expected to be strong, stronger even than heroes. Here, the princess said that rulers don't have to be strong.

Teriyaki chicken orders a teriyaki burger and teriyaki rice burger. I think he had teriyaki sandwich in season 1 as well. Despite menu change, he still eating teriyaki all the same anyway. Yamero.

Well anyway, nice of him to treat the boys who are now adventurers, but flat broke.

The second half is someone new with maou title. Hah, even in this show, maou is cute girl (but at least not straight up loli like jahy one).

Well, I guess so far, the isekai is honestly kinda.... peaceful? Judging from all the events so far, species racism still a thing with Aletta living as hobo before, or that Alice get abandoned by a****** elves, but at least, there does not seem to be any war going on, and this maou mother / adelheid grandpa been working together for a long time.

Annnnyway, Adelheid recommending parfait for first timer. Dammit girl, how about main course thing like the ebi fried, menchi, katsu, etc. And Japanese parfait is really expensive if you order in restaurant apparently, just one glass of that chocolate parfait easily cost the same as main course meal. Wtfbbq.

Funny that you mentioned that as well, since Lastina is voiced by the same VA who plays Druj from Jahy-sama (Kana Hanazawa). ~^_^~

Glad that someone finally recognized the greatness of Aletta's goat horns too, she's such a cinnamon bun (Well, maybe not so much as a girl with ram horns, but not too far off at least). ~^_^~

"Damn those forest ghosts who got in the way of us finding out the source of the rumor that the forest is haunted by ghosts!"

Now that's a voice I hadn't expected from the demon lord.

I don't like how they kept translating "Lastina-sama" to "Demon Lord Lastina."

And even in Jobless Reincarnation you have tier ranks where King < Emperor < God.

I think it's beyond "said to be" at this point...

I like how they highlighted and zoomed in on the text here, as if anybody could read it, lol.

This loli demon lord is pretty tall and large of chest for a loli. I dare say she's not even fitting of the position...

Next week we find out if Sand Prince is going to stay in the Friendzone or grow a pair.

Honorifics mostly serve the same purpose as titles in English. For example, -san -> Mr/Mrs or -sensei -> Dr/Prof. Demon Lord being her title and also the reason the princess is using the honorific -sama makes it a logical translation.

Could done "Lady Lastina" or something. -sama doesn't tell people she's a Demon Lord. "Demon Lord" does.

"Lady" isn't her title, "Demon Lord" is. That would be like saying "sensei" doesn't distinguish between professors, doctors and artists so they shouldn't have called her "Dr. Lastina" and should have called her "Lady Lastina" instead.
