I do remember Samurai Pizza Cats but my first was probably one called The Littl' Bits.

Rurouni Kenshin was the one that kickstarted the awareness of anime.

First interaction with japanese cartoons that I can remember was probably one about a genie that loved meatballs or something. It was really old and I had no idea it was japanese.

First anime I saw that actually made me realize it was different from western cartoons was Saint Seiya. It basically kickstarted the anime craze in my country.

The anime that made me go deeper in the medium including reading manga was Naruto.

Digging really deep in my memory, the first clear image of something anime related was this 🤔

https://youtu.be/ZpSGUh1ycEQ

It was called Ogon batto (named "fantasmagorico" in spanish) and was aired in my country in the early 80's I would think.

You are born with nothing, you will die with nothing. Such is life, so don't worry too much.

Astroboy, if it counts as anime.

And why would the work of the God of Anime NOT count as anime?
Action speaks louder than words. But words, when used right, overwhelm any action - Me, 2006
Let's put a smile on that face - The Joker, 2008

>__> Well I know nothing about Astroboy at this point. Don't even know its creator; so I just wasn't sure if it was indeed considered anime. When I watched it as a kid, it was just another cartoon to me.
