the second patch already fixed some major stuff so I can see it improving in gameplay at least, but I can't see it ever be more than forgettably okay due to the narrator

they'd need to do a full rewrite of every single line of dialogue (and maybe rename everything to not be baby-talk too) to make the story and characters not totally soulless which obviously won't happen

It looks like BotW2 is just Nintendo going back to all the original ideas they had for BotW1 that got cut the first time around. There's reaaaally early concept designs for BotW1 where Link is a one-armed Ben Kenobi hobo in a green cloak with a motorcycle and he can temporarily regrow his arm with different elemental properties. So the more shaggy looking character in this trailer is probably still Link.

They did say that the idea for BotW2 was originally an expansion but it ballooned out into a full size standalone.

When what? When are they out or when do we talk about it? Mushihimesama is out now with Espgaluda II and DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu coming out later this year. We can talk about it now.

(Espgaluda II is really, really good. If anyone likes shmups, please check it out.)

So I started playing that doraemon story of seasons game. So far on 1st year summer (2nd season so far)

The farming sim part is so bad, is this how the recent story of seasons (fake harvest moons) were like?

Like say, upgrading tools is worthless. It lets you charge up to 'save time' and let you use it on more squares at once, but it doesn't conserve stamina at all, which is the main limiting factor. It also doesn't actually conserve time since you can probably use it on squares 1 by 1 just as fast as taking time to charge up.

You get a humongous field, but your stamina, even when completely maxed out from max stamina upgrades, can't handle more than say 5% of the field. Not sure how they are going to make things more manageable.

The horse is also pretty useless since you would probably already have the anywhere door to warp already by then, but even without that, you have to stop and go so often that you actually lose time riding the horse. It doesn't help that using the call horse command is pretty worthless.

Also, the tools/item selection system is so bad. It requires you to shift through your items one by one. Theres no way to shortcut certain things or even change to it in the inventory menu as far as I have seen. You also kinda need to keep basically everything on you since theres no convenient storages you can place to store tools where they are needed.

Man, they needed to copy some of the simple s*** stardew valley did for player convenience factors

almost managed to get a PS5, I had everything on the shop with the last step being to pay for it... but it turns out I didn't have enough money in the account I used (literally only £20 less than what I needed)

that's annoying

guess I'll transfer some money over and keep trying since there's apparently lots of restocks due tonight and tomorrow

Why the rush though?
