All of Super is worse than anything from GT.
GT's awfulness is irrelevant because it's non-canon anyway. Super s***s all over DB canon, and is therefore objectively worse.
Breaking news: "world ends, women most affected."

Well yeah, she becomes the second most important but that's only because she's the easiest to get in a distress situation that needs Goku bailing her out.

Otherwise it's what - Gohan or Vegeta in that role?

A) We don't need a constant damsel in distress in Dragon Ball.

B) Why not Gohan or Vegeta? They served the role of stalling for time until Goku arrived just fine throughout Z and are fan favorite characters. Beyond that, it would give the legacy cast the chance to get some much needed wins in with a monster of the week type story structure while Goku mainly confronting the last 3.

C) She should have been sidelined completely after the Baby Saga. She works fine (conceptually, not in execution) for the first arcs when it's a space adventure for kids, but after the show shifted back to being about "fate of the universe" consequences, she had served her purpose and had no place. Especially after they well established that she's weaker than basically anyone who can turn Super Saiyan. Forcing her to be Goku's sole wingman for the arc required them to write the Dragons as being pitifully weak so Pan could fight a couple without instantly losing and in turn required them to nerf Goku so he couldn't insta-win button every time, or write some plot contrivance that has the rain kill your villain of the week.

We don't NEED it. But it's what they always intended because the point of GT was "Goku shows up to save the day EVERY TIME".

It's different from Vegeta or Gohan stalling in Z. It's flat out "Pan can't do s***, always gets in over her head, and Goku has to save her from every last villain".

I mean, Goku can't figure out how to get off a planet in the Moro Arc when you know - he has IT.

Goku being written as a moron for plot convince is always been a thing post Z.

The only plot that even remotely made any sense in GT was Baby. Outside of that

The psuedo OG Dragon Ball space adventures where boring and just tried to play up nostolgia. And failed miserably.

Being able to freely create an andriod 17 in the afterlife didn't make sense. Wasn't he somehow made stronger than Rildo, who is somehow stronger then Boo? How does that happen? In Dragon Ball hell?

Shenron being able to be that strong was dumb. As far as him saying the 'dragon balls are overused', that should have been Dende's (the guy who created/sustained the balls and Shenron) call, not the dragon's.

Only good concept was the Dragon Balls not being able to be used because of overuse. Make consequences matter for once.

That's why they had a built in rest period of exactly one year. To prevent said 'overuse'.

One year means nothing though when you can just wish back people whenever you feel like it.

Not to mention they never made sense when they can do all sorts of s*** like resurrect Frieza 20 years later but somehow can't remove cybernetic parts from 17 and 18.

Making the filler hell, something that dont even exist in the manga, the whole center of an arc was really dumb

And agree with everything about the dragons.
