Hello everyone. I've written up a FAQ for a pretty obscure game called Tear Ring Saga that I would like to post here that refers to a pastebin written by someone else regarding a route split that happens in game. Here's the pastebin in question:

https://pastebin.com/2t6cJdBF

Is this allowed by GameFAQs standards or should I rewrite some portions of the FAQ to compensate for its absence?

Thank you!

I would say the best course would be to use the data but write it your own way, and give credit to them in your guide. As long as you're just using hard data and not their words, there won't be issues, but I always feel that if I'm using someone else's work as a basis for mine, it's only right to give credit where it's due. And if you can't avoid using their work verbatim, ask their permission beforehand, and again, give credit where it's due.

TL/DR - Use the data, rewrite the rest, and give credit to the author in your document.

Tear Ring Saga certainly isn't a household name in the Western world, but most Fire Emblem fans will know something about it, since it's basically a Fire Emblem game except for the name. I've actually thought about trying this game.

Anyway, external pages tend to break over time, so I would try to avoid relying on links to other sites.

(Basically, I'd recommend what the user above said.)
Course clear! You got a card.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. On your recommendations I included the information within the FAQ itself, with credit given.

The only problem now is that it was designated a full guide and walkthrough when it was supposed to be an in-depth FAQ and not meant to be a walkthrough, haha.
