uh?

exactly, to do what?

is karma so much important now?
If a user cannot accept or does not want a monetary award, this can be an option (what other options do you have in mind?)

but, after this level:
(25) Novice User - Awarded to users with at least 25 Karma. No level posting restrictions.

...is there a real concrete reason to accumulate karma?

Okay, great news to all! I've sent a PM to everyone who currently has a completed bounty and is awaiting payment with instructions on how to get onboarded as an RV freelancer. Once you've been onboarded, I can file for you to be paid. Because we're having to bypass the upcoming automaton for these payments, they might take slightly longer than they will in the future, but the team working behind the scenes on all of this is pretty excited so I'm hoping that won't be the case!

Howdy all, just another update as a few authors mentioned not hearing back yet. I pinged the team and it turns out that the onboarding process we were planning to use wasn't set up to onboard international authors, only those from the US. This does NOT mean that international authors will be excluded and/or not get paid. It just means that a new contract is going to need to be written. Since almost all of the authors who applied are international, they are wanting to go ahead and get a new contract in place that will work for everyone before sending it out. I've scheduled the earliest possible meeting in order for me to sit down with all the people who need to be included to draft the contract, and will hope to have that done as soon as humanly possible. Again, huge apologies for the delay but when it comes to paying out large amounts of money, companies want to make sure they do it right not just to protect themselves, but also to protect the author. Just keep being patient, please, we're almost at the finish line!

RV has not expressed any interest to me in extending bounties to cover foreign language guides so yes, at this point in time that would only include English guides. If you're hoping to get paid to write Italian content on a contractor basis, you'll likely find much more success looking at websites or publications that publish primarily in Italian and/or are focused primarily on the Italian market, as our site does neither.

it seems you don't understand

just I said many times in the past: "I don't care, I don't need and I don't want your (or anyone else's) money"

I refuse to get paid for 2 reasons:

1) It's a matter of principle. I write because I love to do it, when I want, about what I want; I don't write to please the audience and I don't write on commission.

2) It's a way to pay off the web on all the free sources I've consulted all these years: I got them for free so my works will be always available for free.

so I consider all this subject about money boring for me and dangerous for the community (just like it already happened in the past) but I was curious to know how it would work and which new heights in linguistic discrimination it would have reached: I don't care about this but maybe other foreign authors could care and they need to know every aspect

about the authors who will get payed, I'll expect, from now on, their quality will match their payment (or vice versa)
