I already read the help section, but I still can't find the editor to start my guide.

Do I first have to start with a text file in my computer and then upload it to the editor before I can start guide, or is there an actual gamefaqs editor where I can edit the guide from the ground up like a regular forum editor or even wikipedia?

The help section says there is one, but I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Forget it. Now I get it. Once I create a section, I can edit that section. I thought I needed to create the whole guide at once.

Under the Contribute tab, click on the option to submit a FAQ and there will be an option to compose a Formatted FAQ on the right side of the next page.

Alternatively, just bookmark the "start" page like me - https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/contribute/editor_doc_select

There is an editor (linked above). Which you should start out with is a matter of preference. IMO it's easier to work in Notepad first and lay everything out there in the code - if you need to generate a lot of generic stuff, e.g. tables, it's easier to copy/reproduce them in the code. You can then make some notes elsewhere as to how to utilize Editor-exclusive features once you upload it.

Or you can just construct the guide from the start in the Editor. Like I said, matter of preference.

Thanks for replying. But yes, I already figured it out. It's just that when I created the sections I didn't realize you had to click on the section name to open the editor.

I was looking for the editor first thinking that's how you needed to start writing anything.
