I don't know if there's an auto-save feature, at least to my knowledge yet as I'm still figuring out a thing or two with the new editor.

Yeah, the nice thing about the old editor (Wow, I can't believe there was something I liked about it) was that there was like a revision history. I wasn't a huge fan of the autosave always being active, but I do like systems that have a periodic autosave as a backup for manual saves.

I mean, manual saves would be the primary but like 1 or 2 autosaves on the side for if something goes terribly wrong would be great. While I don't expect that (it is a great system when it is implemented right, but I doubt they want to deal with that), it would be great if there was like a switch for each section that we could flip and be like: Yeah, let me autosave this section.

I'm assuming there is something like that considering the old editor had autosaves and revisions.

Devin and I have talked about adding in an optional auto-save toggle, but it keeps slipping through the cracks with all the other things we have going on. We'll try to get that added in soon.

When there is one section being opened in 2 browser tabs, and the author does editing on the first page, how does the auto-save works so that it doesn't being triggered on the older (second) page?

That stuff happened with the old editor.

Honestly it would be best if autosave had it's own version and manual saves had the proper numbers (sort of how some games do it), but at this point, I'd just settle for autosaves based on there being changes but as a toggle. Right now, I'm basically using the duplicate function as a backup. Before the duplicate system, it was manually making a duplicate.

If an auto-save is added not sure if there should be an option to have it on or off while writing in the editor. Just a thought on that.

If we provided an auto-save function it would be optional this time around.

I want to mention this in case. I had put in some images in Detective Pikachu in areas for a small test on where I'll be placing them once to get an idea what it'll be looking once I'm done and ready to place them in it. As I upload a handful to insert as I put alignment is Inline and when I try doing something like "align center" as it doesn't center the image as I'm not sure if it's me or if there's something with the editor as I've been able to center images before with FFAQs in the past.

It still works. Just put the keyboard cursor before the image and then click "Align Center".

If it's important to you, ask Devin to add a keyboard shortcut of it.
