FDS Quiz game, I thought I'd never beat it. I started mapping out all the routes and taking dozens of screenshots. I learned that Google Translate can work on holding cell phone cam up to Japanese text. Then......I found this page that saved me months of work. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://idadada.web.fc2.com/nlquiz/nlquiz.htm&prev=search Perfect maps, routes, and explanations. The route to meet and beat the bosses is at the very bottom of the page. Its up to the player on how to answer the questions <save/reload each time>

Hey, all.
I own Tsuri Kichi Sanpei Blue Marlin Hen, and have translated its manual, if that's of use to anyone. I'm not sure if I can upload translations of manuals on this site.
Also, I was going to update my Pool of Radiance guide, with the addition of Journal Entries from the Adventurer's Journal packaged with the computer versions, as they're much more detailed than the NES version. Would that be okay? As far as I am aware, the computer versions of Pool of Radiance are abandonware. I *think* it might be on GOG but I'm not sure.
I also own the unreleased Days of Thunder, so I'd be more than happy to do a guide of it. It's pretty self-explanatory, maybe beside the pit stop part.

I'm no expert at law but "abandonware" may seem like the owner dumps the intellectual property and wouldn't fight any copyright claims but if you put a third party (=GameFAQs) in the middle which is a commercial website then it's not so easy. Anyhow, I don't see a problem of quoting the journal entry and giving it proper credit.

Sounds good! I also just got the Clue Book and it explains things that the game/journal doesn't, so I'll be sure to add some of it, as I was wrong about some thing in my guide regarding the story.
In addition, the Clue Book tells you how many random encounters to fight in each area to stop enemies from spawning, so I will have to try that and see if the NES version matches up.

Haven't written a guide in, well, years, but I got the itch, and seeing as all my progress from everything I'd previously had on the go was lost in a hard drive crash, I figured I'd work on something new. Seeing as I was enjoying playing Bloody Warriors, but the existing guide wasn't serving me well, I figured I'd take it upon myself to do an updated version using the 2011 translation patch (the existing guide predates the patch). So far it's going wonderfully! Figured I'd mention it here since it seems like y'all are starting to get the quality up to snuff on some of the existing entries now that there's finally a guide for every game. It's great to be back! :P

That's great! I'd love to play through the Japanese version of that game since it features music by Kenji Kawai.
I've been meaning to work on guides, but my computer died. Fortunately, I have my new PC up and running, so I just need to find free time to do it all.
Also, someone should do Vegas Connection, as the current guide on GameFAQs doesn't walk the reader through the story mode. I think there's a playthrough of it on YouTube. If I have free time, I'll check it out.

Someone should probably go through some of the existing guides to make sure they're of at least decent quality. There's a bunch that seem to have just been slapped together to fill the quota but aren't really very good.
Also, maybe doing an HTML update on a few games wouldn't hurt either. It's way easier to read them, and since the text format was really a product of it's time, basically to make sure every computer at the time was capable of reading them without issue (which is no longer a real issue anymore), I don't see why it couldn't be done. But I'd focus on games that lack quality guides before worrying about converting the good guides over to HTML. Unless of course someone wants to do it for one of their favourites or something.
And yeah, Bloody Warriors has some awesome music, especially considering the rest of the game is pretty basic overall. It definitely stands out as a highlight for sure.

I wouldn't mind HTML'ing (if you will) some of my guides, but I thought that would be hard to do, so I never did it.
Also, check out Kawai's work in Sansara Naga, it's my favourite of his.

I never thought I'd do an HTML guide either, but having actually started working on one, I actually find it easier to write as well as read. I'm not sure if there's a way to switch an existing guide to HTML or not, but I would assume if you did one and requested removal of the old one they'd probably accommodate you. Or you could just leave both up...nobody ever complained about having too many guides :P
And I'm hitting YouTube now...

And I'm hitting YouTube now... If talking about plain text to HTML, all you'd have to do is format the plain text if in like Notepad to where it can be recognized as HTML when uploading to the editor. Once you do that you can add in any images and upload it for the game that it's for. Had done that with my Silent Hill guide as it was a plain text as I managed to convert it over to HTML.
