Lots of perspective tricks for hidden secrets, reaction commands in battle, different party members have different overworld exploration powers. I recommend it.

Does it require being steeped in the Steven Universe universe first? Or can I jump in as a complete noob?

Hmm. I'm sure the game would be enjoyable without having seen SU, but obviously better if you have. It takes place in the later seasons, so it definitely contains a bunch of spoilers if you ever did plan on watching it. (Which you should, because it's great.)

I also enjoy Steven Universe, and was thinking of checking these games out once they hit Switch. Glad to know they’re enjoyable.

What like... is it? My whole knowledge comes from people talking about how it has the worst fandom of all the terrible fandoms.
Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.

It's a very heart-warming children's cartoon about a boy being raised by three gem-themed magical women, with a good mix of light-hearted comedy and a serious story. It's central themes include love/relationships of all kinds (familial, self-love, abusive, etc.), recovering from trauma and queerness.

A lot of people have a hard time getting into the first dozen episodes or so (they are 11 minute episodes, so not as long as you'd think) because those episodes are very comedic, one-shots, and they find Steven to be very annoying. There is a plot though and Steven does grow up as the series goes on, so hang in there.
