I think the more overarching problem is the knowledge that single player games with no online interactivity or updates will literally always be there and (possibly with the exception of Nintendo titles) eventually become less expensive. There is something to be said about getting ahead of spoilers (which is why I frantically tried to finish both Kingdom Hearts III and Fire Emblem: Three Houses for the first time as quickly as I did), but unless it sticks with me and makes its replayability really obvious to me, I try to finish single player games and then regain value from them pretty fast.

I really enjoyed Let’s Go, but a big part of that was that it was the first game my son could really play (he was a little over 2 at the time). We had a lot of fun doing it together.

I agree that the original LA is probably what I’d return to after beating the remake. I never sell anything though.

My current games are Ring Fit Adventure (got feel that burn!) and Owlboy, because I'm going back through all those humble bundle games I've had sitting on my computer unplayed forever, now that I can use my PS4 controller on my Mac.

I really like it! Definitely good for someone who needs more motivation to work out, which is me.

Do you think a little kid could play it? Do you feel like you are actually exercising or just helping your circulation and joints and stuff?

No, I'm definitely exercising. I get sweaty after a few minutes, and I have an elevated heart rate (which it measures with the IR sensor on the joy-con).

When you start up it calibrates your run speed and ring strength, and it has 30 different levels of difficulty (basically how many reps you need to do during an attack, though it may have other effects), so I think a little kid could play it if they were interested.

The only thing I don't know is how well the leg strap will work on child size legs.

I did a little controller surgery on my Pro Controller for my Switch since it had the persistent issue of the "up" input stuttering if the control stick was held all the way up (which apparently is pretty well documented.) The issue is more or less invisible when playing things like Smash Bros, but very troublesome when playing things like Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey.

With $4.95 for the parts, a guide from Reddit, 30 minutes of time on a spare Sunday, and minimal swearing, I got the part replaced and my controller is as good as new. Took the chance while it was disassembled to clean it with Q tips and rubbing alcohol, which is also something I've been meaning to do.

Play is continuing along my Blue Lions route in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The characters are starting to become more interesting, even though many of them seem to legitimately hate each other.

One of my joycons isn't registering "down" as often as I'd like, but I haven't yet been able to be bothered to look into sending that back. (I understand Nintendo is fixing the drifting cons for free, and I understand this to be within the same species, but I also am not up for getting the run-around from a corporate entity atm.)
Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.
