I prefer T-shirts without stuff on them, yet somehow my closet is full of those.

Speaking of Uniqlo, I just got a couple button ups from there and I think they fit and look good. There were some T-shirts with interesting designs but the proportions weren't great for me so I skipped them.

For a while, an alarming percentage of my shirts had been gifts from family. I have had to make it clear to my family that I want creative control of my wardrobe and if they got me any clothes I would not wear them. My parents still occasionally ask if they can make exceptions to that rule since they don't really know what else to get me for birthdays.

That's a good point, and maybe explains why I don't like clothes as gifts (moreso than just thinking there are netter gifts). Fashion is an artistic/aesthetic choice, so why should other people make it for you?

Old Navy is having a great sale on non-graphic t-shirts than ends today. $5 a pop.

I got 5.

I had never even heard of Uniqlo before this topic (apparently there is a location in downtown Chicago, but I haven't been downtown in a couple years). Fortunately, relatives simply get me gift cards for the places I do buy clothes from (Express, H&M, Hollister). Speaking of which, the jeans I've gotten from Hollister have been rather durable.

H&M was a go-to for a long time for me but over time I've found less and less there that I like. A lot of it has to do with me being in between their sizes for a lot of things so it's hard to get a right fit. Uniqlo on the other hand fits me really well and in a flattering way so I'm all about shopping there, even though until very recently the only one around was in a difficult area to go to.

Oh, just that my topic title happened to be 180 out of the allowed 180 characters.
