I was wondering what's the site's policy on trophies in games that have not been translated to English? Should the added trophies still be in the original language or is a user's own translation allowed if there's no official one?

I read there should be an "official description", but I feel like some players of, for example, Japanese games could appreciate trophy translations in case their understanding of written language is not that good.

I'd be interested in translating some, but I don't want to go through the trouble if they would get turned down for being unofficial translations.

Using your own translation should be fine. I did that for a few games some years ago using someone else's translation of Japanese trophy lists. If you want to play it safe, start by submitting just a couple lists first and if those get accepted then go ahead and do larger batches. You may also want to include a note in the additional comments box at the bottom of the submission form letting the admin know that it's an unofficial translation.

In the future you should also post contribution questions on either of these two boards:

take it as it comes
