I've never messed around with files/ISOs before so I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry.

For the most part, the saga2.img file is uncompressed. There are way too many reducible patterns for compression to have been used. Whether there is any compression on there, it's hard to say without hitting it with a debugger. There is some random looking junk near the end that could be.

Something of note.

Search 1.1 by Reptile found over 6000 TIM, TOD and TMD files along with their file sizes and offsets.

PSound by snailrush found 2555 audio sample.
