N64 had an expansion port. Even Saturn had 4MB expansion port.
If only there were a way to add just 2MB of RAM to PSX, this console should have been even more impressive. Then it would be able to handle big levels without loading. 2MB of main memory was too low for the FPS games in that era.
Despite that fact, Quake 2 for PSX is still a stunning achievement! This lighting is just incredible.

This game pushed the PSX to its limit.

And it still managed to support up to four players at once.

That's alright- the loading only takes, most of the time anyway, just a couple seconds. Some of the bigger areas take a bit longer to load though. Would be nice to cut down on those ones.
