Might as well. Its far better to communicate over the phone than it is to send them e-mails.

but then again, weird things happen on the phone too! Weird helicopter like noises can be heard in the background, and when my dad asks me "did a helicopter just fly over your house?" I say "um, I thought it flew over YOUR house!"

Also, morse code sounds can be heard, and even sometimes other peoples voices can be mysteriously heard as well, and we have no idea who's voices they are.

Maybe you have really bad wiring in your home. I rarely have those problems, unless I'm calling my mom's cell. Are you using a cell phone to make the calls?

Sometimes I use a cell phone, but other times I use the regular one in the kitchen and still the same noises come through. I think even my dad has two separate phones and we still hear the same stuff.

I'm embarrassed to admit that, besides hitting the send button to answer the phone, I really don't know a whole lot about cell phones. It also doesn't help that my hands are so big, I have to hold the thing in the palm of my hand because my fingers always accidentally hit the wrong buttons, and with my big hands, I can't really get a grip on it and I'm afraid it might slip and break on the floor.

Last week while a football game was going on, my dad's girlfriend's sister called. I picked the phone up and accidentally hit a button on the side, and the ringing stopped! I have no idea what button I hit but she never called back. Oops!

I hate cell phones. I just do not like the idea of being able to be reached wherever I go. If I'm out, I do not want to be bothered by someone or worse, get a call while driving. If there is one thing I hate, its people driving while babbling on about utter nonsense. Do you watch Mythbusters? If so, they had a test to see if driving while talking with a cell phone was as bad as driving while under the infulence, and it was. They should pass laws preventing people from using cell phones while driving, and block them from theaters... and ban them altogether.

Wow, you have the same hatred I have for cell phones! Extremely annoying and inconsiderate when people use them in movie theaters, and dangerous when using them while driving. You know, the very first time I learned to drive, I went to turn into an empty parking lot... only it wasn't quite empty. There was one car that was there, and they almost steered right into me because the young woman was blabbing on her cell phone. I can't believe that happened the very first time! If ever there was a warning to pay attention to other people, it was that first time experience.

My driving instructor exploded over it too. It surprised me when he yelled "DAMN MORON!" He was actually a really cool and calm guy, but just exploded for that one moment.

Hell yeah he should have exploded. People shouldn't be doing anything while driving other than driving. So many unnecessary deaths are simply the cause of idiots babbling on the cell phone or being behind the wheel while drunk. Its pathetic that people can't go a few minutes without babbling about nothing to their friends. You'd think that they could wait until they got to their destination or something, but no, they just have to babble on about crap while trying to steer a death machine. They need to ban cell phone usage while driving, or at least require headphones so people can keep both hands on the wheel.

Yeah, agreed. I don't even think the headphones idea should work. Everyone should be required to pay attention to the road. In my case, I have to pay attention or else I'll start driving crazy on and off the road. It's like I can't take my mind away from the road for longer than one second or else I'll start losing my concentration! It's a mystery to me how drunk/cell phone users can handle it.

No, I don't think. I still have my learners permit, which means I have to have another person with me in the passengers seat. I can't do any naughty things just yet! :)
