Sonic Adventure was pretty good, as long as you played with either Sonic or Tails. Problem was, you had to play with a bunch of crappy characters to get to the final level. None of the other characters levels were even remotely fun. Especially Big the Cat and his fishing levels.
I'm sure my friend would agree with that. I don't even know where he is anymore, and what he's doing. Let's see, no more Sega consoles, so he probably went to Microsoft. He won't go to Sony that's for sure.
Do you remember that commercial for the Sega Saturn from 10 years ago that had a Playstation One falling off a building and a guy saying "Fly, play thing fly?" Well, my friend thought that was the greatest thing ever put on television!
I remember one about the PS1 being chucked off a building and crashing into the ground. We are probably thinking of the same one. Was it Nintendo who mocked Crash Bandicoot, or was it Sega? I remember one commercial about someone making fun of Crash. Maybe it was Mario who was being mocked. I don't remember.
It was Sega who used to get in all kinds of digs on the Playstation and particularly the Crash games. Never really worked, because the Saturn failed a couple years later anyway. The console was supposedly difficult to work on so that's why PS1 versions of the same games would always look better on the PS1. I think Nintendo was trying to figure itself out at that point, after having been a major success with the Super NES and struggling mightily with the N64.
