I haven't played a new Mario game since Yoshi's Island on the Super NES, lol.

Never had a N64, or did you just not bother with Super Mario 64? I had it, but never finished it. I just wasn't that interested in it after the first few worlds.

I played it at a friends house and couldn't control Mario at all and gave up on it (not that I gave it much of a chance). I'm sure now I'd appreciate it more. I was getting temporarily burnt out on video games back when Mario 64 was released too, and that didn't help matters.

Eh, the camera is awful in that game. They have a bunch of preset angles, and all of them manage to get caught behind a wall. You can adjust the camera, but it will go back to its preset position after a few steps. Absolutely horrible.

The level I played had giant goombas. It was just a grassy level. I figured it was probably the first level of the game, or something that was supposed to be easy, so when I couldn't jump on him and died, I got annoyed, haha. I was pretty bad at it.

Giant goombas... I'm pretty sure that level was in the final third of the game. In fact, it was in the final third of the game. It was a level where Mario could become giant or small with the help of mushrooms or something to that effect.

I had a friend who said I was absolutely crazy for preferring Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World over that game, but I told him it was the simple button layout and the accurate controls that made them so addicting, but he felt those games were boring anyway. He really preferred the Sonic the Hedgehog games instead, and used to hate the Mario games on the NES and Super NES.

I hated Sonic and the Genesis as a whole. I loved Super Mario World and loved the SNES far more than the crappy Genesis. I had 16 SNES games to 5 for the Genesis, with only one being any good. It was a game where you transformed from a robot to a tank or a plane or something. Wish I remembered what it was called.

Was it Vectorman? Because I bought my friend that game for his birthday back when it was new. It looked pretty cool back in the day, but I think it was too hard for most people.

I didn't see what was so great about those old Sonic games. They all had speed, which was nice, but that's not gonna win me over because I like to take my time with games and understand what's going on. I was really bad at those games. I did find a secret in a wall in some water level and my friend was happy about that, because he never found it.

The levels looked REALLY big too, and I had no idea how my friend knew the games so well. Too much running, bouncing around, and spinning all over the place.
