I have been trying to take on the second round of this game for some time now but to no luck so I still have the games to Pokemon blue and yellow and tried to raise good teams in them but they only can get me so far so I am going to be starting new games in them soon so please let me know if there are any massive Pokemon that I should consider to train in the hopes of winning the master cup in this game for round 2.

If you look online for Pokemon Gen 1 tiers you should have a look at the "OU" (or "Over-Used") category as that will include the strongest pokemon.

I'm sure you know the basic principals of trying to keep no more than 2 pokemon in your squad of 6 weak to any one type and to have a variety of attack types on your pokemon.
