I know this one has some better animations/VFX, but it probably has some load times as well. Though I heard the SNES version didn't let you save during battles (and they could go on for a very long time).

Just curious if anyone had an opinion on which is better to play given the choice.

I like this one better. Sounds better, looks better, in-battle saves, and as far as I know it isn't missing anything that the SNES version has.
