If Nintendo decided Zelda should stay 2D in the 1990s and did a 2D Zelda on Nintendo 64, how would that game have been and would it have been better than the Oracle games or Minish Cap? What type of gameplay features would have been in that game?

It would be a rehash of LttP with new areas since OoT borrows heavily from it in terms of game flow.

This all depends on the circumstances keeping them from making a 3D game. Are they not doing it because they aren't able to, or because they just don't want to?
