It has been like that since the beginning. This board is one of the numerous small islands in the global picture for LoD followings. It is small and timeless, akin to one of the Wingly forests. That comes with key pros and cons, but the board has remained nonetheless.
Haha, I don't think that is my place, Drew is doing a fine job of being an Emperor Diaz-esque figure for the LoD community. But I know he has expressed concern about 'The Broken Islands' before and I just wanted to remind him there are places that came before him.
It is not so much that this place is a broken island, but akin to a Wingly Forest like he said. Specifically Ulara.

Apologies if I came off poorly with that post, VGC. I ended up getting too analytical. It's truly good that not all fansites and social media locations have died off. We've lost more than enough, ruff. And you're right, I don't know all corners of the fandom; no one can. Whether I know the history or not, it's just as important as anything we do today. Been following that example for a few years.
Some of my goals include helping offer that history to all the fans who don't know about it yet. Some people have no idea there have been 50 petitions and 50,000 signatures; others have no idea about the history of the Facebook group. Others still have no idea that this board has had a Riddle game going for years and years. That's part of why I am anti-isolation (in the case of public communities, anyway). These spaces aren't "wrong" in my eyes, although I do think they deserve some extra awareness, respect, and inclusion in the global picture.
