Anytime his limit gets up i usually just reset it in the menu between battles so it doesn’t trigger.

wait what

I was baffled at first too, but upon thinking about it, I think they mean setting Vincent's Limit Break to (for example) Level 1 Limit Break then setting it back to Level 2 Limit Break. You know how whenever you set a character to a different Limit Break level, their limit break gauge resets.

You can set it to the same level you are on, essentially resetting the limit bar.

Interesting. I never thought of doing/trying that. :)

A 1:3 ratio would mean that out of a 100 RPG's, 66.6 would be J and 33.3 would be W.

It's a crime that almost literally no one has written any fanfiction about the potential Yuffie's character has in the story - it's all shipping with Vincent (the worst character in the game, and like fifty something years old despite the argument some people like to throw around about her and Cloud) or some such nonsense. ...Or oneshots.

Just wanted to second this. Vincent sucks. He's not interesting in 7, AC, or DoC. He's just a filler "kind of there" guy.

Yuffie has always been my favorite party member (her and Tifa, but most of my reason for liking Tifa has always been her combat animations and victory pose) - liked her ever since I first played Kingdom Hearts. Yuffie almost doesn't exist in the game but she's easily the most interesting character to me.

I agree, rather than any plot-driven fics it's only awkward, badly written Vincent slashfic despite them having I think literally one interaction in the entire story if you get both of them.

It mostly stems from Compilation nonsense.

That said, has FF ever had a child/teen main villain?

It kind of defeats the purpose of an RPG with a quadratic leveling curve for the ultimate challenge to not be as imposing as possible. Child/teenage characters are better used as friends or rivals.

But FFTA does, if that counts.

I get what you're saying, though at the same time I feel levels are just gameplay elements separate (in most cases) from a story. What should matter most when weighing a villain is what they do as a villain. You could easily flip Yuffie's story as a mix of Barret and Sephiroth and have her be bombing the reactors in Midgar (and other cities) as revenge for Wutai. The Wutai War had only ended a few years before FF7, and Sephiroth's motivation was already crazy enough.

Is that game good? It looks like they're all kids.

I definitely disageee. Obviously the particulars of how much the player grinds/runs can't be considered canon, but the power curve is a definite aesthetic choice, which--if the director has any clue what he's doing--considers and is considered by every other design decision in the game.

Let dead topics die.
Piano, turkey, Donald Trump's down-belows, Arkansas wardrobe, flagellation, polar bears - it's beans! Can we expect any nuclear fallout today, John? Certainly!
