I was looking through some Azure Dreams sprite rips, and noticed a few graphics that apparently are unused. The rips aren't mine, BTW: http://www.spriters-resource.com/playstation/azuredreams/
If you look at the mugshot sheet, several characters have unused profile pictures. There's a shot of Fur holding takoyaki, which would fit for the times you enter the shop while she's eating, but the game uses her regular picture then. All of Mia's pictures have an alternate without her glasses, but the only ones you see normally are her regular pose and her pool pose. At least, I think so. It's been a long time since I've done Mia's story.
Most interesting are the shot of injured Guy and the one of Beldo with both of his arms. These would worked with the flashback of their fight at the top of the tower, but the game doesn't use profile pictures for that scene.
Some of these may have been used in the Japanese version; I know there were some graphical changes for the overseas release. For example, the angel in the intro is different (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyUGfsTwkMM). I can imagine them taking out something like Fur eating takoyaki since a lot of people overseas wouldn't know what it was.
Also, the spritesheet for Kewne has an alternate palette for him. I forget if this is used or not, it might be used when you change his element to something other than fire, but I'm not sure.

Having thought about these images a little more, doesn't the game use a transition effect on Fur's portrait when you walk in when she's eating, even though the portrait doesn't actually change? That makes me think the takoyaki pic definitely goes in that scene.
