Even with all his powers and strength, it does seem to defy physics with his wall running. With each step he takes, he pushes himself forward and slightly away from the wall, but while in midair between steps, he falls back to the wall as if there's gravity. If anything, he should be pushed away from it.

That move is used to gain horizontal momentum so you can clear rooftops you don’t get higher when you use it.

He uses the web as an anchor point that turns his vertical momentum into horizontal momentum and then using his super strength he kicks forward to keep going. It’s essentially the whip around the corner move but instead of taking himself back to the wall he uses the momentum to keep him going forward.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

He can cling with his hands and feet. He's clinging to the wall when running.

I’m not sure that’s how it works

he absolutely does get higher after doing the move

Run up a wall without doing the move and see how high he goes then do the move and compare. Unless I’m misremembering he won’t go as high but he’ll cover more horizontal distance

and FFXIII is garbage.
You have a problem with this, and don't even mention how Spidey can be in midair, use his web yank to pull a bad guy up into the air with him, and then they both hover while Spidey punches the crap out of him? And you can do this multiple times without ever touching the ground. I love the game but you can't dare to think about the physics of it all lest you fall down the rabbit hole.
Cover your knees up if you're gonna be walkin' around everywhere.

well yes but that one is a blatant and unashamed violation of physics, this one seems more subtle almost as if someone thought it should be correct but isn’t
