So whats the consensus here ATM? Hearing a lot of bad will for this mod more and more recently. It is a pretty big sized mod and if it turns out it does more harm than good, then well, I don't even know. What are the deets?

And would it be possible to delete it and keep playing on a current play through without a hitch? Or would I have to start over?

Right now there are issues with any mod that accesses the dlc.

Once bethesda has finished borking things up with patches and actually fixes the dlc file order issue then the patch will be fantastic. Even required by many mods.

That's an "if" though.

Right now it has its issues that Arthmoor can't really do anything about since they are on bethesda to fix.

He is an excellent modder that puts a lot of effort into his work and constantly updates.

Show him some love on the comments in the mean time.

A lot of the people that are complaining about his mod are just morons who have load order issues and needlessly blame him to be clear. Some of the issues he gets blamed for have nothing to do with his patch.

Modders have to have a thick skin when dealing with the public and Arthmoor is almost at the end of his rope.

I use it. I had zero problems with it on my 1st playthrough and almost done on 2nd playthrough and zero problems using it :-}

I never read or listen to other players who complains about this mor or that mod is not working or it is causing problems, I always look up the author of the mods and see his/her ratings for their mod and read the descriptions of the mods so I know where to place them in my load order so I don't have any problems :-}

You're always going to have players say this mod or that mod is good or bad and on this forum board NOT counting over 100 other forum boards all over the world, you may see about 5-20 players on here say they hate the mod and about 5-20 says the mod is awsome :-}

You're asking about the consensus on here, you're going to only get about 20 players giving their opinions when you're not counting in over 100 forum boards throughout the world and millions of players playing this game :-}

Oh woah, no don't get me wrong, I realize that these mods are the work of actual human beings taking the time out there lives for others, not robot slaves or whatever. I know we aren't entitled to anything, and I do appreciate having these mods available.

Fact remains that if the mod for whatever reason causes problems, whether its because of something on Bethesdas' side or something else, then IDK but anyone else, but I'd like to be aware of that, so I know whether I should be using it ATM or not. I don't mean that as a personal slight to the Mod Author or anything.

I get where you're coming from and agree with you, this is just my advice but play the game for several hours without the patch mod, try the companions,thiefs guild, dark brotherhood and college of magic of their quests and if you don't run into problems then no need to worry about the patch mod :-}

My past experiences of Skyrim on 360 with over 1000 hours of game play, I ran into a lot of glitches with those guilds and few with the main quest and DLC's and Bethesda did not bother to patch the problems and so we got an awseome modder to make the Unofficial Skyrim Patch that fixed tons of glitches and problems Skyrim had on 360 and PC , so myself I chose to use the mod and everything is running great :-}

The patch has a very reliable MA who fixes the bugs with the patch rather fast provided they can actually be fixed on his side (faster than Bethesda does for sure). The patch fixes some lesser seen game breaking issues and helps fight save bloat. However due to this esm issue it doesn't work perfectly.
Yes though there were a few issues with the port at one point but thanks to a few people reporting the bugs properly they should be fixed now or in the next few days if the update for the patch hasn't been released on Xbox yet. Im sure someone around here would be able to say if it was updated yet or not.

Atomsteeles comment was also about a recent thing where some a******s mass reported the mod till it was taken down without reason and it royally passed arthmoor off.

The patch was actually started to combine various bug fixing mods into package instead of having 100s of them. It's rather old now but arthmoor is loyal to its support.

I got my updated notice last night that there was an update for Unofficial Skyrim Patch and I updated the mod :-}

I see, thanks for the responses everyone. I'm going to do a bit of research into that link that Alubedo provided, but for the most part, I'm leaning towards just keeping it on. I've been running it for a while, and my game has been pretty stable other than some bearable framerate loss in Riften and the occasional stutter. If it ain't broke don't fix it right?

Thanks again guys.
