On a scale of 1 - 10, how likely are you to recommend a Sheikah Slate to a friend?

11 if it comes with teleportation.
Zelda rescues the princess from Gannon with the Hylian Sword and the Master Shield, and the spells Din's Love, Farore's Fire, and Nayru's Wind.

Judgmental Sheikah Slate

Bolson is the Tingle of this game confirmed?

ok, but seeing how it's impossible to parry without A shield, then they are hand-in-hand ... or same/same.

But to your point, then yes ... the parry ability and/or power of the "return fire" should be based on how good the shield is ... or something to that effect.

Considering that messing up a laser parry could cost you most of your hearts (or a fairy) and that actually doing it involves skill and timing, I'd say this is a pretty balanced risk-and-reward system here...
I don't really see why there's an argument about this. The "shield strength" attribute already applies to normal blocks, which requires almost no skill to execute. Wouldn't it be unfair to punish the player for pulling off a perfect parry just because he didn't have the right shield?

Anyone with a balanced heart may wish upon the Triforce, and his will be granted. Except for you, Hylia. F*** you.

Not at all. I'm just saying that to counter a 500+ damage laser - which might be the strongest single attack item in the entire game - you'd THINK it would require more than just a player's ability to hit the A button at the right time.

This is the weakpoint, for better or worse there is easy strategy to beat almost every enemy in the game without any good weapons or gear. The only exceptions to that are lynels, who, while can be beaten without good gear, it's way harder to pull off.

Also if you remove ability to parry them with any shield, that will make parrying them almost irrelevant, because the moment you obtain good shield, is most likely the moment when you will have good weapons and master sword and can just spam attack on them.

Look, I'm not really in the mood to argue/debate this any more. I'm ok with the fact that we all look at this differently. I think it's silly that a dude that just woke up from a 100 year coma can walk outside, naked, pick up a pot lid, and reflect guardian lasers.

If you think that's ok, even by "video game logic" standards, then ok ... we just agree to disagree.

Well, he can beat pretty much everything the moment he wakes up from 100 year coma, even Ganon in under 30 minutes.
