I've been looking for original wired Gamecube controllers but I can't find any for a decent price. I tried buying 3rd party ones but they all feel awful or just break after like a week of usage. Does anyone know where I can find decent ones? I know the Switch Battle Pads are really similar but I tried out a friend's and it just didn't feel right. I'll settle for it if I need to but I figured it was worth asking on here if anyone has tried any 3rd parties that feel close to the official ones, or if someone knows where I can buy official ones for a decent price ($50 or less maybe?). The cheapest I've come across were around $70 which is a little much considering I'll be using it almost exclusively for Smash.

eBay still has wavebirds and original controllers available pretty commonly. Make sure it's not a generic gamepad. Also the smash bros branded controllers are basically the original.

Edit: looks like prices have inflated in the last couple months. I see why you're having problems
