I get the feeling it’ll be entirely focused on persona 5 R.

And that will likely get announced for Switch. I just hope if that game is the speculated enhanced version of Persona 5 that the PS4 owners can upgrade to the R version instead of being forced to buy the game again.

what if P5R's new content is so substantial it could be like having 2 RPGs in one?
depending on the added content and features, it might justify getting it $60 new.

and there are PS4 gamers that held off on P5 for the obvious new edition that would surpass the original.

The Last of Us fans didn't mind repurchasing the same game for PS4, after having purchased it for PS3.

and look how many times people bought Street Fighter II games sicne the 16 bit days.

if people think P5R is not worth $60 new, then they can just wait for a price drop.

and would say it is possible it could have content added that would cost too much to sell as a separate DLC expansion/add-on. maybe they could do it, but depending on the magnitude of the content, it might be like $50 worth of DLC value, which people may as well buy the whole new game of it instead.

this isnt as easy as, say, adding onto a game like Mortal Kombat X with DLCs, as alternative to purchasing the XL edition.

though also it remains to be seen what P5R is exactly.

if it is the definitive edition of P5, then would say most fans wouldn't mind purchasing that new edition.

also, if P5R is an rpg and comes to Switch , then that further justifies making Shin Megami Tensei V a timed exclusive, and port it to PS4 after Switch gets it. UE4 engine makes it super simple.

it would not be fair for Switch to start getting a Persona core RPG, and yet PS4 not getting the newest upcoming core SMT game.

I'm not hoping. its naive to expect Atlus to do the right things after all these years.

though it is to their benefit if both Persona core series and SMT core series go multiplatform. even small developers are not missing out on the multiplatform cash.

now P5 has is tough cause its engine is not as adaptable like UE4 for multiplatform porting, but if they do it for P5R, then SMT V porting on PS4 would be a breeze and more money for Atlus.

its selfish to think SMT V is better remaining exclusive for all time. exclusivity not only limits its total profits but also the amount of people that would play it. and most won't purchase a platform for an exclusive.

Yeah, I’m really curious to see if persona 5 r will be coming to switch. If it does, that’ll be a sign that smt v will go multiplatform as well.

But the intial reveal trailer for persona 5 r only showed the PlayStation logo, so it seems that Atlus still is not interested in multi platform development.

Apparently this art was done by Doi which pretty much confirms he'll be the character/demon designer in SMTV.
