ZX Spectrum kid here, though most of my childhood was dedicated the Commodore 64. Still have it in the box on the shelf to this day, and "of course" I got a Commodore 64 Mini. The joystick really sucks on that one, so I don't use it often. But I do have Giana Sisters on it. I won in life. Lol.

The first system I owned was a Game Boy Color, but I'd still say 2000s because despite being a system that was released in 1998, I only bought it in 2000 with Pokémon Yellow and Super Mario Bros.

1976 when my Dad bought the family an Atari 2600 for Christmas.

The 2600 came out in 1977. I think you might've misremembered.

I started with the 2600 as well. Both Nintendo and Atari were developing games together at a time when there were no Nintendo consoles.
There is a documentary about it on youtube.

90s most definitely. My first console was when i was 5 like in 1992. Early memories were Mario World, Zelda LttP, Starwing. I got a PSX but converted back to Nintendo with OoT and M64 (mainly got PSX for Smash).
