Has anyone had an issue with this?

I have two left joycons and the analog stick drifts on both of them. One drifts left and the other drifts up. Basically input registers without me touching the stick. This happens attached and unattached.

I’m not sure if it’s my Switch or the joycons.

It’s normal. Joycon is Nintendo’s worst built controller

A common problem with the left joycons of the first switches especially the gray ones. My first switch (red n blue) didn't have the issue but the gray one I have now does. Gonna have to buy a new joy con at some point which sucks as that means I need another dbrand skin.

Have the same issue with my left joycon. It's most noticeable in Blaster Master Zero's on-foot sections.

Shantae may be a spirit, but i'm still supporting her as long as she has a chance to be playable.

One of the joycons is launch day gray. The other was holiday 2017.

Is it just faulty joy cons or is there a fix anyone knows of?

Look up how to fix them on YouTube, the most common cause is dust or debris under the dust cover.

@ArikardoX thanks!

This seemed to be the issue and they are working much better.

I also got some drifting, but on my right Joy-Con. It drifts to the right. Also to note that this Joycon went to the SAV for the "weak bluetooth connection" problem a few months after launch already.

Why is it so the left is more susceptible to drifting, and more so on the grey models?

Haha NO. That goes to Nintendo 64. At least the joycon's analog has a permanent fix.

My n64 analog is super loose now. It doesn’t drift, but the stick has no resistance from center position outwards and wobbles.
