Do you think Nintendo is planning to release a new and better Nintendo Switch next year or much later in the future?

I don't think Nintendo will even consider a revision until sales are really in the crapper. If they have steady releases of good games, that wont happen until probably 2020 or maybe later.

Nintendo makes hardware revisions despite how well or s*** the system is doing (Wii U aside.) As soon as the Switch was released, Nintendo began planning their 10th gen console.

Can't have a normal discussion in this board without the Sony waterboy showing up.

Where is the "not likely at all" option?

A refresh isn't coming until Switch sales really slump. First they will try adding a pack-in game for $300, then maybe a game and a second set of joycons, then a small price drop. Then maybe a slight revision. These revision predictions people are making are very far away, and far too lofty. It costs a lot of money to change the manufacturing process, and it costs a lot more to build the Switch people are dreaming about.

The 3DS got a price drop and a revision very soon because no one would buy it. The Switch doesn't have that problem at all, so Nintendo doesn't need to do anything anytime soon.
