I don't think some people are going to be satisfied with a new Star Fox until it literally becomes Mass Effect.

People hated Adventures and Assault because it wasn't Starfox 64. Well look what happened to Starfox Zero. I would still hate the game even without the gimmick controls..

The game sold almost 2 mio units (more impressive back then) and got lots of critical praise. "PeopleL didn't "hate it".

I like the characters and world if Starfox, but an arcade shooter in 2018 simply isn't wanted by the masses. Make Starfox a cinematic shooter like The Last of Us or Gears of War, just with furry characters. Have there be a mix of on-foot and arwing missions. Branching pathes with differing story development for replay value. No gimmick controls. That's it. That's how you sell Starfox in 2018.

PS: And it must have Krystal (based on her Assaults-design. Because I say so.
There are videogames, and theres The Legend of Zelda

I just remember when I was young, and completely unaware of people's opinion of Adventure and Assault, I loved the games. Assault had decent reviews, Adventures didn't have great reviews. I just hate technology these days that manipulate my mind into thinking a game is bad by having access to all the info on the internet. So maybe I probably would like Starfox Zero if it came out like a year after Assault.

This game is unrelated to Starfox, but when I was young, I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog, yet that game got a 51 on metacritic. I get that people hated the weird direction it went and its "edgy-ness", but I really liked it because some of the gun concepts were great. It had some bad choices of course like the casino level and space station level where you rescued soldiers.

It just goes to show that I shouldn't trust people's opinions, but that goes without saying.

Adventures was a bit too different, but Zero was way too samey.
Personally, I think Assault had the most potential of the post-64 games. If they focused on that formula while improving upon its flaws I think they'd have a good thing going.

A Starfox64 retread is exactly what needs to be done. Good branching and scoring systems will add the replay value.

The German games press handed out scores in high 9/10s. Again: The game got lots of praise.

Man, SF0 was such a sausage fest it's no wonder it bombed. I get that we can't have Krystal since her universe was finished and rebooted, but at least bring in SOME female characters. Even Star Fox 2 knew better with Miyu and Fay.
Everything will be fire.

they should keep doing star fox the way they've always done. Except this time put a lot more development focus on the multiplayer. Back in the day star fox was pretty much the best N64 multiplayer game that wasn't named goldeneye or perfect dark. Why nintendo ignores it's strength as a multiplayer game remains a mystery to me.

The switch is in dire need of more multplayer titles. I'd kill for a star fox game that has a deep multiplayer component with progression and unlocks.
Everything unrelated to elephants is irrelephant
