They neutered the Wi-Fi capabilities to save battery power I think.

It's pretty much on par with the DS4 battery

I think it's just a design flaw, like the wifi antenna is located in a terrible position. Or perhaps they cheaped out and got the cheapest crappiest wifi adapter they could find.

Because they still don't have a built in ethernet port
I understand this time around its portable but unless my Switch is in DMZ on wifi its not connecting to anything. The Wii U was the same way but even with that the Wii U would straight up refuse to connect properly at times.

And the point of bringing this up is?

Because if you're going to compare battery life, there's the Vita.
I think they've taken the freedom and liberty thing a BIT TOO FAR!

I’ve never really had an issue with WiFi connecting, either for eshop downloads or playing MK online.

I only know 4 people with Switch's, but none of us has any problem with wifi, connecting, downloading etc... So it's definitely not all systems with this issue. And it could possibly be some people's router settings.

Have you tried taking it out of DMZ (or port forwarding etc...) and using UPnP instead? If your router is compatible that will generally open the NAT on all your systems at once.

I always thought it was weird how people in this site trash Nintendo’s systems’ online, seeing as I’ve had a lot more frustration with PS3 and PS4’s online with the speed, UI, and especially stability.

For what its worth, I haven't noticed any problems with the wifi connection on mine. And that's with my wifi router being kind of iffy ( other devices have had connection issues ). It could be good luck, or it could be the kind of use I put it doesn't tend to reveal connection hiccups.
