It's already affecting it.

And please stop using Doom as an example. That game was kneecapped in order to run on Switch.

Doom is a great example because it disproves the idea that power is affecting the Switch's third-party support. So no, it isn't "already affecting it", and you moving goalposts doesn't change that.

Nintendo's lack of power and features have ALWAYS been the reason why they miss out on 3rd party games every gen. DOOM running at 576p 21fps (lower than low pc settings) docked is nothing to brag about when the competition is running the game at nearly double the resolution and framerate. The fact the switch does not come standard with an Ethernet port and basic online functions in 2018 also doesn't help.

Facts and logic don't work here bro, apparently we can simply downgrade games like Monster Hunter World to my virtual boy but Capcom is just lazy and does not like money so they choose not to.

Activision once ported a CoD game to the f***ing DS. Power is a non-factor if the audience and money is there.

Ported a CoD to the 3DS huh? It wasnt dumbed down or missing tons of features? _Dog

He said "DS".

Perfectly explains why the Nintendo boards are toxic and are full of trolls/haters.

Nintendo CAN put it on the Wii U or 3DS if they wanted to but perhaps feel it's not worth the investment.

but but but third party developers not bringing their games to the Switch = lazy and dont want money?

@_Dog

Seems like Nintendo is just as lazy and dont want money, 3ds has 66+ million sales bro, Pokemon continually sells insane numbers, Mario Odyssey would sell too

Seems like a no brainier, just dial the graphics down and get it on the 3ds and bam millions of sales.

Seems pretty lazy
I got 99 problems but a Switch aint one!

If there's a line of AAA 3rd party developers coming to Switch, why is there a drought right now?

AFAIK the CoD games on DS have completely different campaigns, they aren't the same games at all.
The CoD games on Wii were the same though, just with last-gen graphics, but the CoD games have mostly been the same gameplay but with next-gen graphics.

There is a point where the hardware difference simply is too great for a game to be ported and remain the same game. On the Wii, the key example would be Dead Rising, the Wii just couldn't cope with all zombies on screen.
Super Mario Kart is the single best Mario Kart ever!

It's pretty obvious that Switch fans have settled for these "indie" games as their big 3rd party support. These games didn't do so hot on other platforms because those owners have too many of the big games to play.

Since Switch owners aren't getting those big games, those indie games sell better on Switch, because those owners have nothing better to play and eat the indie games up. Then turn around and crow about the Switch getting "great 3rd party support".

You must've forgotten the existence of the GameCube, a system that did just that

If you want to make a solid argument, I suggest you don't outright lie. No the Gamecube was not a uniform system. It required those stupid tiny disks because Nintendo was paranoid about piracy. You want ports? Make your system easy to port to. If your system involves a gimmick, it's going to be difficult to port. If your system is underpowered, it's going to be difficult to port. If your system deviates from technological standards, it's going to be difficult to port. And Nintendo has been doing this for decades.

Compare the PS4 and XBone...they're almost identical and have roughly the same power. This makes it easy to port a game from one system to the other. Now tell me, when was the last time Nintendo released a console that wasn't all that different from their competitors?

Disingenuous statement at best. The CoD games on DS weren't ports at all, they were entirely different versions of the game, built from the ground up to be DS games.
