"Oh, but the PS4 is older!!!"

Irrelevant. The PS4 didn't have many games when it launched because it was inaugurating a new gen. The Switch, on the other hand, can benefit for launching much later and get all those games that were already made for the PS4. Which is why there are so many smaller multiplats about to be released for the Switch.

If the Switch doesn't get bigger games, it's only because it's too weak and outdated. I.e. Wii U all over again.

Actually, there are a lot of repeats in that list that I removed because they are simply different editions of the same game. Missed that one. Thanks.

For me I don't care about the PS4 games aside from Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I bought that, Destiny 2 (would cancel if I could, but I pre-ordered online to get in the Beta... like a fool), and Friday the 13th.

For Switch I got Zelda, Binding of Isaac, Disgaea 5, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, and I'm going to get Super Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and have been debating getting Payday 2, Dragonball: Xenoverse 2, and Sonic Mania. So Switch, for me, has been WAY better than PS4 in terms of games. Next year is looking good with a new Fire Emblem main title, a new Pokémon main title, a new Kirby game, and some Square Enix titles on the way. If more games keep getting announced for the Switch that look good I'm honestly probably done with my PS4 after Star Wars: Battlefront 2... I honestly don't care about Red Dead Redemption 2, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, or any other "big title" I've heard from them, so... yeah.

It's a gaming drought at this moment, yes, but once "Broke-tober" hits there'll be a flood.

No, that's actually correct. They are selling both the complete season and the episodes separately.

Well, obviously. Why would a non-gamer look forward to games? Duh!

Not sure how a drought for a new console would be a surprise... The PS1 era is long. Games cost a zillion dollars to make these days. The flood of most good titles doesn't start on any console now until the first 2-3 years have passed.

It's nice to own something shiny and new but this is specifically why it can suck to be an early adopter. If you're not prepared for the wait it's always better to purchase a new console a few years after it comes out, especially since by that time the price generally comes down and revised versions of the console are available.
