I would buy one just for it being cheaper, saving maybe $50 or so. I don't have anywhere to use the dock in my house so paying for the Switch and it's accessories without the dock would be nice.

I don't think the dock costs Nintendo $50 to produce, so I doubt a dockless iteration would pass that much savings into you.

Even $25 would be good considering like I said the dock is pretty much worthless to me since I have no where to use the dock.

No, when/if I get a Switch, it will be primarily be on the TV and rarely used as a portable.

Yeah they still have the include the charger, so not a lot of money saved. I'd say it would be more detrimental considering how little would be saved.

I bought the system as a handheld, so I wouldn't have minded a cheaper no-dock option. I still play TV mode despite this though simply because the Switch is already in the dock when charging so why not.
