  3. Anyone have the Switch hooked up to a monitor via a HDMI hub?

I"m going to purchase a second monitor for my "man cave" eventually, but my current monitor only has 2 HDMI in ports and I have my PS4 and laptop hooked up to them right now.

I'm thinking about getting a HDMI switch so I don't have to constantly plug in and unplug the HDMI cables...

Any recommendations?

HDMI hub work just fine
called an HDMI switch though

you need to decide if you want a remote or not

Any recommendations on a "good one" - I guess it having 3-4 HDMI "in" ports would be ideal.

One for my laptop
One for my PS4
One for my Switch
(An extra one just in case)

Changed hub to switch in my op as well :)

that one looks good and it's HDMI 1.4 and supports 4k which is good because I'll be upgrading to 4K everything late this year/next year

^^ I ordered this one and I love it. I have 4 HDMI ports on my TV, but I needed 2 more and this works perfectly. Not expensive, has auto-source, comes with a remote, and it's 4K and 3D capable which is good future-proofing wise since I plan on getting a new TV at the end of this year.

I have been using this one (although the one i have is an older model with only have 3 inputs) for about 2 or 3 years.

It auto detects and switches channel by itself which is pretty nice (unless someone trolls you and turn on random devices, and when something does an auto update)

Bear in mind that, as of now, the switch doesn't play nice with smart HDMI hubs
The source may constantly be changed to the switch

DO NOT GET ANYTHING THAT HAS AUTO SOURCE FOR NINTENDO SWITCH

All my hdmi switches have auto source and the nintendo switch 'calls' for power/ hdmi switch attention every 10 minutes, causing the screen to go black momentarily as my switches will automatically move over to the nintendo signal, see nothing's there and switch back, even when the ninswitch is off/suspended. The way the switch works REQUIRES the dock's hdmi signal to always be active, even when you don't want it to be. So, again, YOU DO NOT WANT AUTO SOURCE.

MAKE SURE you get a manual hdmi switch ONLY.

Not yelling. Just trying to save you a purchase you wont be happy with : )

Good luck, dude
