So we have a player base putting hundreds of hours into farming level 50 legendaries, but will these scale up within your backpack or vault to whatever the new level is after the DLC? Say lvl 60 or 72 or whatever? If not, who is going to put all that time in again just to get the higher level legendaries?

Will not didn't in any of the previous games. If you don't like it then you are not a fan of the grind. However when the level cap does go up you can go back and farm again and get the higher level version of them.

That just seems kind of redundant though. I can understand if you have to spend 10 hours to farm and get them again but hundreds of hours when you can instead be playing another fresh game? Yep, I know what I’ll be doing.

they will unlikely scale up... but my exploit to get them to max level, MIGHT work...

I have not had much luck getting a squad together to fully test what needs to be done to get it to work right, but If anyone is interested in trying it with me, I will check my inbox fairly often.

I had posted it on the Playstation board by accident, and I got one volunteer. MAybe if I recruit here for help, I will have better luck.

Obviously, I am trying to keep it obscure, because getting this patched before the DLC would defeat the purpose.
If what I said doesn't makes sense... it's because you don't want it to make sense.

Ok, I wasn’t talking about an exploit but rather the fact that it seems that this fact should be taken into account before deciding to spend 100’s of hours farming. We need people to know what’s at stake.

I will pour 100 hours into farming level 50 weapon, then another 100 into those same weapons at level 60, then another 100 into those same weapon at level 70, and so on.

Sounds like Borderlands isn't for you.

Stick to whatever yearly release you normally play.

I wonder why people played borderlands 2 for so many years... because you farm for replacement gear.

IT will likely jump to 55, then to 60, then to 65, then add the OP levels again. Just like it did with BL2...

Every time, you will go farm for the same gear again... maybe reset the Missions and get a new level 55 Pa's Rifle.

For me, not having a bee shield is a hard pill to swallow... but I fully expect them to toss one into the mix, before they close the door behind them, in the final DLC.

I played BL2 for many years after all the DLC was released because I didn't have to farm the same gear again.
