My favorite part of Tokyo is Asakusa, a game featuring this area would be great with Sensoji temple and maybe a story connected to Sanja Matsuri.

Tokyo has many great locations. The city as a whole has a lot of visual variety.

It'd be a dream game of mine if they could do a Yakuza game with the level of detail and density that Kamurocho has but on covering the entire city of Tokyo.

Something that will never happen obviously but yeah even if it was just a ward so it'd be 10 or so times the size of Kamurocho I'd be all for it.

With the current engine, it still at least has to get the full Kamurocho up and running before it can expand. I wanted to walk around Champion District but sadly it's closed off in this title.

Dull. Despite the pretty graphics, which still look like an unwashed sock in a fruit basket with those 30 fps, the entire city feels as unremarkable as your average city in a Grand Theft Auto game. It sports less mini-games, less side quests (those that are there are fairly short). All in all, a major step back from previous games ala Yakuza 0 or 5.

Good shout, as the Yakuza usually take part in the Sanja Matsuri at some point.

When people are talking about Shinagawa, do they mean Shinjuku (as Shinagawa isn't a particularly interesting area)?

Oh that's a lot less than Zero, that game has 100. Yakuza 5....did that have around 60? I can't remember how many the other games had.

Yakuza 0 had over 80 Substories
The original Yakuza had 72 total substories,
Yakuza 2 had 80 substories total,
Yakuza 3 had 101 substories in the English version and 121 in the Japanese version,
Yakuza 4 had 62 substories,
Yakuza Dead Souls had 60 Substories
Yakuza 5 had a total of 78 substories not including the side stories all characters(except Akiyama) had.

So yeah Yakuza 6 has the shortest amount of substories in the history of the main series.
