In short, I'm picking up the game, and probably origins today.

Played much of the first game back in the day, didn't get too far. I've only beaten 5 and 6. Enjoyed 5.
Now after playing the demo I had more fun than I thought going in. I've beaten plenty of survival horror games in the past. And I seem to enjoy them. I thought I was done with this series but I think I'm going to pick this up.

Talk,talk, talk,now

I'm usually very critical of stories in any medium. Especially once I fully understand everything there is to understand. Resident evil has always come off to me as "dumb", in the story department but for some reason I find myself always attracted to the series.

Now oddly enough I really enjoy stories that take themselves seriously but know there dumb. Like some of Schwarzenegger's films, (true lies, action hero, kindergarten cop).
And I feel overall the resident evil series has always kind of fit in there with my mind. I don't know how seriously the develops took to thier writing but I did read somewhere that capcom took it seriously. Which in my sadistic mind almost makes it better if that's true.

Rant over now to a spoilers in RE6

Fighting morphing t rex guy had to be one of the dumbest awesome scenarios I've ever encountered in a game. And I've played a Lot.

Well RE was always meant to be like the genre that inspired it, campy B-movie horror. However then Resident Evil 5 came along and tried to take everything seriously, then 6 came along to destroy what little credibility the series had left as a survival horror series.

Yeah 6 felt almost like a war game to me with some of those missions. Until some other later missions. That game had all kinda vibes. Now that I think about it, the snake, the facilty. The end reminded me of 5, probably because of the ship mission.

I plan to, not this month, in march I think I will pick that up.

I have a PlayStation classic which has the directors cut to the first game, but no analog controllers with the mini? When trying it out for a Moment I had a sense of Grattitude for how easy it is to run past the zombies. Also it was great feeling that survival horror experience with a game that old.

And that first movie at the beginning, really something.

I tried to skip the trailer for the RE2 demo, but it showed some things before the buttons worked. Where I was like, "just let me wait for the game to come out, don't show me this!".
