Allowing enemies into the save room is potentially game breaking. Imagine being attacked by Mr X, you’re in danger health, no health items, he takes a swing and you decide to save at that moment. Bad news buddy, that save file is now trashed as you have no way to avoid the swing. Gonna have to start the game over!

In Alien Isolation, this potential situation could happen, but if you saved the game & then were killed, & then when you re-loaded, the alien wouldn't be around, so it'd be loaded like you saved when no one was around.

I would prefer save rooms to remain as they were, just to have another thing true to the original games.

There’s nothing like the wave of relief I get from hearing that music and seeing a typewriter. Keep save rooms as they are.

What

That's a staple of old school RE.

Don't f***in' mess with the save rooms.

Actually according to Capcom (RE7’s OST), they’re called Safe Rooms not Save Rooms because being safe is the main feature of such rooms, saving is just a secondary feature. That’s why they have the relaxing music.

Being completely safe in such rooms is one of the defining features of the series, so no I hope they’re still safe in the remake.
I swear I'm not insane. Yeah, most likely not insane.

Bingo.

This game is gonna have checkpoints anyway. But as far as Mr. X waiting outside being immersion breaking, you could make the argument that it makes him more intimidating, to know he's just outside the door.

That was one thing about Nemesis. When he was around, there was that certain eerie music that would play to let you know he's around.

On the RE2 OST the save room music is called “Secure Place”. I use it as my alarm tone lol

It breaks immersion when the "save" rooms in RE7 somehow repels enemies.
I even left the door open to see if Jack Baker will come in but he turns another way and ignores me.

Imagine being chased by Mr. X and you run into the save room where you can develop films.
Mr. X is going to look less intimidating if you leave the door open and either it stands there or walks away.

Well Iam afraid they are, I saw some videos where zombies and also Mr.X were after protagonists and seems after he/she enter a save room they stop chasing him/her, but this is also could be my imagination of course, we will know soon enough...

It might be like Nemesis in RE3, where after you run into the precinct, Nemesis slams against the doors.

There is already gameplay that shows that Mr.X does not follow Claire when she runs into the safe room of the upper East corridor of the police station. It's near the area where you're supposed to put out the fire from the chopper. So yeah, it's confirmed that save rooms do make enemies f*** off in Remake 2. Mr. X's footsteps fade away completely when you hit a save room.
